Weed Dreams - Trailer
AVAILABLE NOW AS A DOCU-SERIES ON YOUTUBE! At the onset of legalization in California in 2018, Oakland launched the nation’s first Cannabis Equity Program. Prior to legalization, 90 percent of cannabis arrests in Oakland were of people of color, the majority of whom were Black residents. The Equity Program reserves half of Oakland’s cannabis licenses for businesses owned by people with local cannabis convictions, and residents from the primarily Black neighborhoods targeted for cannabis arrests. Weed Dreams is a 9-part docu-series chronicling several Black entrepreneurs over four years, as they try to succeed in the predominantly white cannabis industry through this groundbreaking program.

The Note Episode 2 | Eddie Palmieri: A Revolution On Harlem River Drive
The Note is a new documentary series from Red Bull Music Academy. Watch all episodes here: http://www.redbull.tv/thenote Inspired by the early ’70s activism of the Black Panthers and the Young Lords, Latin music pioneer Eddie Palmieri produced one of the most daring albums of his already storied career: Harlem River Drive, a politically charged Latin-funk masterpiece so ahead of its time that its influence continues to resonate decades later. The Red Bull Music Academy is a global music institution committed to fostering creativity in music. We celebrate music, its culture, and the transformative minds behind it. Begun in 1998, the Academy has taken the core principles that underlie its annual workshop for selected participants and applied this curatorial approach to events, lectures, and city-wide festivals throughout the year. ► Subscribe to our YouTube Channel: http://bit.ly/10OyDHc ► Visit Red Bull TV: http://win.gs/1uy4YFF ► Visit our official website: http://win.gs/avjLrK ► Our latest videos on YouTube: http://bit.ly/12nkX7h ► Follow us on Twitter: http://bit.ly/Lx4wQy ► Like us on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/12N5Ch0

Meet #TeamTCSTeacher Bobby Imamura: Running For Those Who Can't
(Role: Editor) The #TCSNYCMarathon has 50,000+ runners….and 50,000 stories. But perhaps no story is as inspiring as the one #TeamTCSTeacher Bobby Imamura and Steve Bluhm are writing. Bobby is running for those who can’t. He qualified to run the Boston Marathon while pushing his friend Chris Beckette, who has ALS, finishing in an astonishing 3:07. Unfortunately, running and traveling cross-country became too painful for Chris, so he had to bow out of this year’s TCS NYC Marathon. This is where San Diego-based Steve Bluhm comes in. A former coach who is also battling ALS, Steve will join Bobby on the streets of New York. They’re aiming to complete the race in 3 hours and 20 minutes—a feat that most can only dream to achieve. Together, Bobby and Steve aim to raise awareness for #ALS and inspire others to live life to the fullest, even in the face of a debilitating disease. And we can’t wait to see them write their final chapter on November 6th.

Where Is Art? - Freedom Tunnel Documentary
In 2011, we learned that Amtrak was beginning to paint over some of the large murals that Chris Pape, AKA Freedom, had painted in the 1980s and '90s over a 10-block span of tunnel under Riverside Park. Freedom's works included tributes to Michelangelo and Goya, but also reflected his experiences as a graffiti writer and the time he spent with the homeless people living in the tunnel. The murals, visible through gratings on the street, gained notoriety and the tunnel eventually became known as the Freedom Tunnel. We asked Freedom to revisit the tunnel with us, hoping we would still find some of his works intact before it was too late. This is what we saw.
